62nd ORCA CONGRESS IN BRUSSELS 1-4 JULY 2015 (orca2015.org)

We are pleased to announce that in connection with the 62nd ORCA Congress in Brussels, two symposiums will be organised back-to-back with the main ORCA Conference:

1) Pre-Congress Symposium "Caries Epidemiology and Surveillance in Europe: towards a harmonised approach" on July 1st from 9am to 4pm, organised by ORCA, ACFF Europe, EADPH and PBOHE.

2) Saturday Afternoon Symposium " Occlusal Caries: biological approach for its diagnosis and management" on July 4th from 2pm to 5pm, organised by ORCA.

Both symposia will take place at the main congress venue: Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Rue Fossé aux Loups 49, 1000 Brussels – Belgium

Election for vice-president in 2015
We are pleased to announce that MONIQUE VAN DER VEEN (Netherlands) and JOANA CARVALHO (Belgium) were nominated as candidates for Orca vice-president in 2015. The elected vice-president will become the ORCA president in 2017.

ORCA is offering a Summer School in Athens on  17-18 April 2015  to stimulate research related to Cariology  in the countries of the Mediterranean and Middle East, and to raise interest of young scientists in this region to participate at the ORCA 2016 Congress in Athens.

It is now time to consider possible candidates for a new vice-president to be elected in 2015. Nominations for the new vice-president, who will become the president in 2017, can be done either through the membership section or direct to the secretary general.
Nominations can be done before January 10th 2015. Eligible are all senior members of ORCA who have served at least one term on the advisory council and/or executive board and have not served as president of ORCA.

The process to establish a European Core Curriculum in Cariology for Undergraduate Dental Students is finished now. A document is launched during the Opening Ceremony of the 58th ORCA Congress in Kaunas on 7 July 2011. This document is now available as online document of the European Journal of Dental Education. For ORCA members it will be available in the protected membership section of the ORCA website. Those who are interested in this document and are neither members of ORCA nor have access to the European Journal of Dental Education can address to one of the authors of this document. The authors are Andreas G. Schulte (andreas.schulte (at) med.uni-heidelberg.de), Nigel Pitts, Marie-Charlotte Huysmans, Christian Splieth and Wolfgang Buchalla.

New structure of membership fees valid from 2008
Fees will be different for countries with high, medium or low income (according to the classification of the World Bank). Members from countries with medium income will pay 2/3, members from countries with low income 1/3 of the normal annual fee.
The respective fees will be:
Senior members: 99 Euro, 66 Euro, or 33 Euro,
Introductory members: 21 Euro, 14 Euro, or 7 Euro,
Retired members 27 Euro, 18 Euro, or 9 Euro
